For this year and depending on the circumstances of COVID-19, the event was held virtually, through its digital media in accompaniment of the IEPROES community, special guests and the general population.

Among the outstanding events, there was the launch of the publications of the institutional research 2019 and that form part of the "Institutional Research" collection through the publishing house "Ediciones EDIPRO". All of them have their ISBN records and are part of the work carried out by the scientific research units.

IEPROES recognizes that one of the paths to development is research, considering that the contribution of the results obtained is translated into projects that seek to respond to the needs identified where the population and different communities have been benefited, since the lines of research point to the care of: health, the environment and natural resources, as well as educating the population on these issues.

The event was attended by institutional authorities, students, academic staff and representatives of institutions that are key to the development of the projects such as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, different foundations, NGOs, schools and community representatives. Therefore, as a token of appreciation IEPROES offered a special recognition to each of them for the cooperation in the work developed.

Pérez and Arq. Vanessa de Sandoval presented the results of the scientific research: " Water contamination of the Ceniza River, its consequences in the environment and in the health status of the inhabitants of the surrounding areas of the Nahulingo Micro-watershed, Sonsonate.

Therefore, considering that in El Salvador water is a vulnerable resource due to its high demand for domestic, industrial and agricultural use, the contamination process generates a reduction in its availability, generating water shortages despite abundant rainfall, inadequate distribution and inadequate conditions for water storage.

The problem lies in the indiscriminate contamination of the Ceniza River. The river flows approximately 22 kilometers with high-impact contaminating material generated by sewage runoff from the area, one of the consequences being that people (especially children) suffer from "itchy" skin when in contact with water from the river or wells near the river, and stomach diseases caused by consuming the water, since it is the only liquid to which they have access and with which they carry out their daily domestic chores. Water is the only liquid to which they have access and with which they carry out their daily household chores. In addition, odor problems along the river, families are affected by odor pollution in the area, so much so that the smell becomes unbearable at certain times of the day and night. The objective is to determine the water pollution of the Ceniza river, its consequences on the environment and on the health of the inhabitants of the surrounding areas of the Nahulingo micro-watershed, Sonsonate. el que realizan los quehaceres domésticos diarios.

During the investigation, water samples were taken at the beginning of the path in homemade wells and at the end of the mouth of the path. One of the results is the "determination of the color", finding that the color of the water is presented as a result of diluted substances, such as ions, natural metallic, humus and dissolved organic material, besides being one of the organoleptic properties of the water; in the same way the presence of total coliforms such as: Escherichia, Enterobacter, Citrobacter, Serratia and Klebsiella. These are bacteria that live in the intestines of warm-blooded animals, humans, plants and soil; finally, indications of contamination from sewage and other types of waste were mentioned among other results. It was concluded that the level of contamination disables the use of the river and due to how people look for alternatives to supply water for food preparation, hygienic activities among other activities, putting their health at risk.

Dr. Raúl Díaz, presented the book "Desafiando el destino social" (Challenging social destiny), a work that conveys the spirit of the outstanding scenes of social life in rural areas of Latin American countries and in particular in the Salvadoran environment, in their personal and family struggle in the pro-development of life. The transversal approaches in each plot highlight the true role of rural women in the construction and maintenance of both their families and society as a whole. Likewise, the importance of family and community educators in the formation of infants and youth is highlighted.

In addition, the book "Imagen social de la enfermería en El Salvador" (Social image of nursing in El Salvador) by Dr. Celina Ventura, researcher and author of the book, was also presented. She refers to that In El Salvador the popular voice about the image of the nurse, is that they have received assistance at different levels of care reflect and explain that the social image of the nurse is usually characterized by their uniform color and place of work either community health unit or hospital and also by their actions, activities, techniques such as: injecting, weighing, taking temperature, among others; in addition, direct patient care is associated with the area of medicine but with an inferior status to this, in addition nursing staff is still seen as medical subordinate whose function is to prick, (Muñoz, 2014) and that traditionally the profession has been developed by women.
Con respecto a las cualiWith respect to the qualities of the nursing professionals in the population participating in the study, it should be noted that of the total number of positive qualities, these were grouped by similarity of meaning and in particular in the department of San Salvador, the highest weightings were reached for the following qualities: kind, respectful, responsible, patient, understanding, trustworthy, friendly, humanistic, clean, orderly and professional.

It is important after reviewing the data of the present study and considering the range of activities that are or are not assigned to nursing professionals, as well as the dispersion in the frequency of findings that nursing is recognized mostly for traditional functions where teaching and research are almost null and void, and as Calvo (2011) points out, the more traditional tasks are perfectly recognized, but there are areas of our profession that are still unknnown.

Present at the activity were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MINEDUCYT), the National Association of Salvadoran Nurses (ANES), the National Nursing Unit of the Ministry of Health, representatives of the Nahulingo Community, teachers and students of IEPROES, among others.
