As part of the celebration of International Women's Day, the Academic Council of the Specialized Institute of Health Professionals, IEPROES, held the forum entitled: " Recognizing Women in Science" with the slogan "Women Science and Equity", with the objective of contributing to the analysis and critical reflection on the challenge of women scientists in Salvadoran society and stimulate the educational community towards an attitude of valuing the right, respect, equity, peace, solidarity and integrity in the development of the person of women and their importance in society and the scientific-academic community.

The forum was attended by professional experts in the field. The topics were: "Woman and Law" by Leonor Arevalo, Deputy Attorney for the Defense of Women's and Family Rights, "Women's Mental Health" by Licda. Mariela Castillo, Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Health Psychology at IEPROES Santa Ana Regional Center and "Women in Research" by Dr. Odette Gonzalez Aportela, National and International Projects Advisor at IEPROES.

More than 100 people participated in this hybrid forum (face-to-face and virtual), including students, graduates, professors and administrative staff.
